Good Weedend!

Both Davis and I have been SO incredibly blessed this weekend.  I'll save the best for last so you'll read the whole thing (or so you can just skip to the bottom).

Actually on Thursday, I found out that my abstract I submitted on the research I did in Maryland was accepted!  I'll have a poster at the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine conference with the basics of my data.  Basically, that means I stand in front of my poster as one of the only students there so lots of doctors can intimidate me.  No lie, I'm already nervous and I'm not even there!  Best part:  I'll be going to Denver, Colorado in June!

There was a horse show at the Horse Park this weekend, so I got to visit with my trainer and a few people from my barn.  I love love love going to visit, but it makes me miss showing a lot.

And.....last but not least....

Davis got a JOB!!!

A real-live-big-boy job!!!!

I might possibly be more excited than him.  This means he will be moving to Hattiesburg in about a month, so let the house hunting begin!

God is so good!!  I'm continually amazed at how much He blesses us both :)

Crazy is as Crazy does

I'm going crazy.  Seriously, I really am.  Perfect proof in this picture.

Who does that?

Long Time Coming

I knew it.  I knew I would get behind.  It's wierd though, because I like reading other people's blogs....not for the "keeping up with the Joneses" part, but because my friends just flat out make me laugh.

So, here's the last month in review (hang with me, it's been a busy month!):
  • First off, Valentine's day!  I got flowers from Davis....pretty much one of my favorite things ever.
  • My Birthday!!  I LOVE birthdays.  Mine, yours, anyones.  Seriously, I love them.  If I know when yours is, expect a card via snail mail.
    • This weekend started out with my awesome rotation-mates decorating our student room plus these really cute, yummy cupcakes from Cups-N-Cakes.

    • Davis surprised me with some new really nice sunglasses.  I've always been a $10 limit kind of girl (mostly because I usually end up crushing them or something), but I love these.  So far so good with them!
    • I got more flowers!  My friend Katelyn sent me some (such a sweet surprise!), and my parents sent me these.  I really like the vase.

    • I went Friday night to the Dixie Nationals to watch the freestyle reining and visit friends.  Lots of fun, plus I got a new belt at the Moonlight Madness!  They also got me a cake.  And then here's what Maggie did to my piece.

    • My dear best friend Danielle came to visit me.  We had a lot of fun just catching up since our visits are, unfortunately, few and far between.  Growing up stinks sometimes.
  • I finished up my radiology rotation.  Current countdown to senior year: 7 weeks!
  • Davis came back from Missouri, but now he's in Jackson on another externship.  He's been racking up on the job interviews, so keep us in your prayers that he finds a good job!
That's it for now.  I'll try really hard to be a better blogger.   I promise :)

Winter Blues

This time of year is so gloomy.  Too many clouds and cold, not enough sunshine.  I started back to school with my radiology rotation Monday, and I guess I can be thankful that at least I show up and leave when the sun is out this time :)

To top it off, Davis is also gone to Missouri for a month on an externship.  The low today was 0 degrees!!!!!  I don't envy him there!  So over the past week, Ive become down Davis, my roomie, roomie's dog and cat, but I've gained Davis's cat Beach Bum to take care of for the month.

Also, my dog has decided she has a new place she likes to hang out...in the BATHTUB!!  No lie.  You can't make this kind of stuff up.  See for yourself.

I guess I should stop procrastinating and study.  Only 16 days til my birthday!!

Wed-aholic

It's true.  I'm addicted to weddings.  No laughing, it's a serious matter.  According to a recently taken survey, I'm a "perfectionist bride."  Oh my.

I have entirely too many magazines.  I even dedicated an entire shelf of my bookshelf to wedding paraphernalia.  I see it spilling onto lower shelves in the near future.  See?

I also have accumulated bags of coupons, gifts, buy this, buy that.  I guess that one is really my fault for going to the bridal shows.  I will say that the bargain shopper in me is thrilled at the awesome coupons I got, though.

And if all that weren't bad enough, I bought a different wedding organizer.  Yes, I said different...meaning that I had one!  I my defense, my mom bought it for me and although perfectly nice, it was a bit small.  I mean how is a girl to choose which of the perfectly fine 20 organizers at Books a Million to use?
I finally picked a very scientific method to chose the appropriate planner.  Are you ready?

I picked the green one :)

Ello!

I'm obsessed.  That's right.  With this couple.

I'm not sure why, but I love them.  Not to mention I only wish I was as stylish as Kate.  I never was one of those girls who thought Prince William was ridiculously good looking, though.

Actually, it's with the whole Windsor family.  I love Queen Elizabeth.  Who doesn't love a lady who loves horses and Corgis??

Last night I watched a documentary on Royal Weddings (catch it on TLC, I'm sure it will be played again).  I also took a liking to Princess Anne, an avid horsewoman.  I also learned that out of those 6 or so royal weddings that have happened since Queen Elizabeth married Prince Philip, all have ended in divorce.  I pray that it works out for this couple!!

Royal wedding watching party April 29th anyone?  Seriously though?

Hello, 2011!

Well, I told you.  I knew this regular blogging wouldn't last for long.  In my defense, It's been a whirlwind of a 3 weeks since I've been back to Mississippi.  I visited friends, families, and my horse.  I traveled to Southaven, Brookhaven, Birmingham, Starkville, Jacksonville, and back.  Needless to say, I'm TIRED!
My awesome horse, Sonny
Cute Aussie puppies by our dog, Stetson

my brother (Robert) his girlfriend (Courtney), Davis, and me at my Grandmother's Christmas

Maggie being a big dog (and Sadie in the backgroud)
Christmas was amazing.  My fiance got me this little baby.  The inner nerd in me rejoices.  Funny enough, my mom got me the same thing.  How lucky could a girl get to receive 2 of the same things she absolutely loves???

I also took an awesome road trip with 4 of my best friends to watch the Bulldogs triump in the Gator Bowl.  A jolly good time was had by all.

So here I am, picking up Christmas decorations (finally, right?) and putting away the aftermath of my travels over the past 3 months.  Yuck.  I think I'll procrastinate by looking at wedding stuff :)
